Planeta Eruzione 1614 Riesling Terre Siciliane IGT is a prestigious Sicilian wine made from 100% Riesling Renano grapes grown in Castiglione di Sicilia. This white wine is an excellent representative of Sicilian viticulture, with an alcohol content of 13.5%. The sandy volcanic soil gives the wine a unique and distinctive minerality. The grapes, harvested in 13-15 kg crates, are immediately refrigerated at 8 °C to preserve their freshness and organoleptic characteristics. After manual selection, the grapes are destemmed and undergo maceration on the skins for about 6 hours, followed by soft pressing. The decanted must is then decanted and fermented at controlled temperatures between 15 and 17 °C in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine matures on the fine lees for 10 months, until August, with bâtonnage every fortnight for the first six months. This process gives the wine remarkable complexity and structure. Planeta Eruzione 1614 Riesling is ideal with hors d'oeuvres, first courses, fish, shellfish, cured meats and vegetables, and should be served at a temperature of 8/10 °C.
